Penn Nursing > Care to change the world™
Day of Service for students

Children, parents, and passerby’s of the Please Touch Museum on Saturday, June 27th, were greeted by nursing students at the University of Pennsylvania, who were promoting the PA Children Health Insurance Program (S-CHIP) and distributing information on how to contact Congressional representatives as part of President Obama’s “National Health Care Day of Service.”

"This is an important event for us and reflects what we strive to be,” said Donald Payette, an undergraduate at Penn Nursing who helped organize the event. “It demonstrates our calling to love and serve, our responsibility to advocate for responsible healthcare with and for our clients, and our duty to promote local, national, and international efforts to meet health needs."
