• To identify pre-clinical disability in older adults either within a domain of tasks or through self-reported symptoms.   

In Her Own Words:

My patients motivate me to want to discover interventions that would help them maintain their mobility, reduce falls, and improve their quality of life. I would like to improve older adult’s ability to remain in their own homes throughout their lifetime.

Theoretically, identification of symptoms would provide a practical method for clinicians to identify older adults at high risk for disability and afford the chance to intervene, promote recovery, and prevent or delay the onset of disability.
