In Her Own Words 

It is common to observe family caregivers become overwhelmed by the burden of management of residual neurological and cognitive deficits in elderly patients, made more complex by multiple transitions between nursing homes and acute care facilities. I would like to help family caregivers navigate a complex and often alienating healthcare delivery system through my research.

I believe that my research about family caregivers of older adults with stroke will offer insight into this group and will potentially improve the quality of care of the stroke patients, and also a better understanding of their caregivers.
