The 2018 Sayre Health Fair took place on April 14th at Sayre High School Field. Over 50 free community resources, carnival rides, dancing, health screenings, jazzy the clown, food and a ton of fun! Sayre Health Center is feels it’s the neighborhood family doctor’s office serving all ages- babies, children, adults, and seniors! Our nursing students attended to promote healthy living and wellness in their community.

On October 17, 2017 Penn Nursing joined The Food Trust HYPE Youth Summit in supporting and engaging Philadelphia high school youth in becoming leaders for healthy change in their schools and communities.
The health effects of where people live, work, and interact are well documented, as are the value of neighborhood-level structural interventions designed to improve health. But place-based characteristics that contribute to disparities in HIV transmission and disease burden are poorly understood, possibly resulting in less-effective HIV risk reduction interventions and programming.
