Since joining the Hillman Program in 2013, Stefanie’s interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has driven her to participate in research led by her advisor Dr. Margaret Souders with the goal of helping families of children with ASD.

In March of her senior year, she defended her General Exam which focused on the topic of depression in mothers of children with ASD.

Stefanie recently traveled with Dr. Souders to the International Meeting for Autism Research in Salt Lake City to present an intervention, designed by Dr. Souders, for children with ASD and insomnia. While finishing her doctoral coursework, she is working full time as a nurse on a liver and kidney transplant unit as part of the six-month Hillman Clinical Fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Stefanie graduated with her BSN in May of 2015.
