Special Plenary Session at 65th Annual National Student Nurses’ Association Convention

Julie Fairman, PhD, RN, FAAN, the Nightingale Professor in Honor of Nursing Veterans and Chair of the Department of Biobehavioral Health Sciences, will lead a special plenary session – Embracing the Past, Envisioning the Future – during the 65th Annual National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA) Convention to be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 9 until 10:30 AM.

Fairman, a nurse historian, author, and researcher, will bring to light the ability of nurses to influence social change since the establishment of the NSNA in 1952. She will take attendees on a journey to shape their understanding of how the past can advance their understanding of the present and help them envision the future.
