ITS Welcome Message
September 10, 2018
Welcome to a new academic year at Penn Nursing!
Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students:
Welcome to a new academic year at Penn Nursing!
Over the summer, we deployed several IT projects that work to enhance our digital workplace, security, and instructional and classroom technology while reducing online phishing attempts. These efforts support the School’s business operations, educational technology, and research initiatives, paving the way for new modes of academic inquiry.
I am pleased to announce that the Clinical Education Placement Platform (CEP) has 350+ Placements, 150+ Students, 150+ Sites, 10 Programs (grad and undergrad), and 150+ Preceptors for Fall 2019. We will continue to enhance and improve the platform with Phase II rollouts which will include e-portfolios for students and preceptors, evaluations, and additional user experience enhancements.
I’d also like to share some of the completed projects:
- Five conference spaces were upgraded (314, 359, 4010, 208, and 210)
- Two complementary phone charging kiosks deployed (2nd floor and main lobby)
- Enhancements to IT infrastructure
- Mobile Printing
- EPIC for Education Pilot Launch
- Two-Step Authentication for faculty and staff
I’m encouraged by the collaboration that is unfolding and want to congratulate and thank the entire ITS Team, Penn Nursing Teams, and vendors for their partnership. Please visit the Information Technology Services website to learn more about the support resources.
