The Endowed Chair was founded in 2009 by a gift from Ellen and Robert Kapito to recognize faculty excellence and to provide support to faculty research particularly in biobehavioral nursing science. Mrs. Ellen Kapito is a member of the Board of Overseers at the School of Nursing and Mr. Kapito is a member of the University Trustees.
