Julie Farman receives the 2009 Lavinia L. Dock Award 
 
 

Julie Fairman PhD, RN, FAAN is the recipient of the 2009 Lavinia L. Dock Award given by the American Association for the History of Nursing (AAHN). She received this award for her book titled Making Room in the Clinic: Nurse Practitioners and the Evolution of Modern Health Care. 

The Lavinia L. Dock award recognizes academic scholars in their outstanding research and writing in their published books and is the highest honor bestowed by the American Association for the History of Nursing.
