On July 14, 2011 Dr. Julie Fairman (Director, Barbara Bates Center for the Study of the History of Nursing), was appointed to the Sigma Theta Tau International Hall of Fame.  Dr. Fairman received this honor during the 22nd International Nursing Research Congress, held in Cancun Mexico.
