The acquisition of power demands a
Loss of innocence.
one pure, one innocent, one free of
Guilt, one free of commitment, cannot
Hope to master the strengths necessary
For assuming the responsibility inherent
In the exercise of power.
Loss of innocence is the first, and
Perhaps the most important component of
Real power.
To face the darkness in self and in life
Is to approach the hidden powers at your
Command.Clinging with might to what is deemed
Virtuous and good can only lead to a
Dead end street, a blind alley where
Only the blind gather to char about the
Terrible weather.
A conscious shedding of one's virtue
Is the path of growing into a mature
Human.
This is the path to power.
This is the path to ethical choice.
Only those who hate can know how to
Love.
Confrontations with good and with evil
Are components of power,
Though knowledge of good and evil may
Take you off the beaten track, life
Lived at its fullest must take this
Route.
Knowledge and the beginning of wisdom
Involves the passionate consideration
Of evil in self, evil in others.
Only then can the good be freely chosen.
Freedom to be is a component of power.
Without this freedom, one is doomed to
Follow in the footsteps of another.
Beware of where you place your feet if
Your freedom you have not obtained.
You may end up following the very devil
And never ever even know it.
Take the freedom inherent in power and
March forward making you own way toward
Truth and beauty as you seek to create
These in life and in work.
The acquisition of power demands knowledge
Of self, knowledge of other humans.
The acquisition of power demands knowledge
Of society and the institutions within it.
The us of power is the use of self in
Society.
It is the use of self in relation to others.
It is the use of self in coming to know
Self. |
