Mission

The mission of the Center for Health Disparities Research is to improve health among disempowered, marginalized, vulnerable, and underrepresented populations through research and training, thereby narrowing the gap in health disparities.

Goals

To advance our knowledge and our understanding of the determinants of health among racial/ethnic minorities, marginalized, vulnerable and underserved populations across the lifespan.

To develop, evaluate, and disseminate multidisciplinary culturally competent research methodologies and health promotion behavior interventions aimed at improving the health of vulnerable populations and reducing health disparities.
