The purpose of the Graduate Student Organization is to foster communication, coordination, and continuity among the master' students and between the students and the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.

The membership includes all master’s students enrolled in the Graduate Division of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing including BSN/MSN students.

GSO serves a political and social function through addressing graduate student issues; GSO/GAPSA meetings,events, and activities; meeting and networking with other graduate students; and influencing policies and operation of the School of Nursing and the University.

The GSO is responsible for sponsoring guest speakers, coordinating brown bag lunches, and GSO social activities. The GSO is also actively involved in graduation plans.

GSO has a bulletin board by the MSN Student mailboxes for the posting of pertinent information and announcements.
