The University
of Botswana was
founded in 1982 and has become a strong educational
presence throughout Botswana and Southern Africa. In
addition to its twelve undergraduate programs, the
University offers a range of graduate programs, including
a Master of Nursing Science.
The University of Botswana
hosted a number of Penn students during the Summer
of 2004.

Global Forum for Health Research is
an independent international foundation established
in Geneva (Switzerland) in 1998 with the objective
of helping correct the 10/90 gap in health research.

in Hong Kong.

role of nurses in Botswana's health
care system differs from that of nurses in the US. They
reported on their experiences in
a paper, titled
"Nurses' Role in HIV/AIDS Care in Botswana: Sharing
a Study Abroad Experience in Comparative Health Systems,"
presented (via Beth Ann Swan) at the ICOWHI
15th Congress 2004 - Sao Pedro,
Sao Paulo, Brazil.
