Penn Nursing Global Health
Penn Nursing has a rich program of global activities and leadership ranging from the involvement of Dean Afaf Meleis in the international relief organization, CARE, the International Council on Women's Health Issues (ICOWHI), research conducted by our faculty in Africa and elsewhere, and, as shown here, our alumni who work to alleviate suffering and distribute knowledge.
Penn Nursing is also a PAHO-WHO Collaborating Center for Nursing and Midwifery Leadership.
Kelly Delaney, a recent graduate, is working with a "therapeutic feeding program" for Action Against Hunger in Kenya designed to give inpatient or outpatient care to malnourished children who weigh 70 percent or less for their height. The photo is of Ms. Delaney and Kenyan children.
