Students for Global Health
Who We Are
We are undergraduate and graduate students from all majors and disciplines committed to raising awareness about global health issues and the impact of poor health on all sectors of our global society. We also seek to help students find opportunities to work abroad on health-related projects. BSN and graduate students taking minors in Global Health Care are automatically members of SGH.
What We Do
We organize opportunities for the Penn community to learn about global health issues. Our activities include a monthly film series and top speakers from the global health community. Noted speakers from last year included a Gates’ Foundation Board Member, the President of the China Medical Board, and a leading Obstetric Fistula Surgeon from Africa. Our members also have the opportunity to attend international conferences at discounted rates and to get connected with top researchers in the field.
How To Get Involved
- Sign up for our e-mail list to receive the FIRST notices about our events and meetings.
- Look for notices around campus about our film series and speaking events and attend the events.
