Clinical Practice
The faculty arrange all clinical sites for students. Preceptors and sites are screened and visited by faculty to attempt to match students with sites that will best meet their interests and provide a diverse primary care clinical experiences.
Clinical practice is central to developing your knowledge and skill as an FNP. The clinical practicum is 732 hours, providing ample opportunities for your growth as an FNP. All of our preceptors are seasoned NPs and physicians who are dedicated to excellence in patient care and student education.
All FNP faculty members are experienced Nurse Practitioners currently in clinical practice, bringing real life experience to the classroom. Our goal is to help you develop the knowledge to manage patients, across the lifespan.
Our students go on to practice in a variety of settings, including:

- Ambulatory care practices
- Hospital based clinics
- Community based clinics
- Entrepreneurial practices
- Specialty practices
