Dr. Becker is responsible for the daily management of the ACNP program. She conducts admission interviews, manages the admissions process for new students, advises incoming and matriculated students on course selection, and teaches in the clinical seminar courses. Dr. Becker is a graduate of Villanova University (BS), Thomas Jefferson University School of Allied Health (BSN),the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing (MSN and Post-Master's Nurse Practitioner Certificate) and Drexel University School of Education (PhD). She is a certified acute care nurse practitioner. She has worked in critical care for 24 years and has been teaching at the University of Pennsylvania for 14 years, previously at the senior undergraduate level, as well as, at the graduate level. She has presented nationally on a variety of critical care topics. She is a contributing author and reviewer on several nurse-related topics. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the American Heart Association Cardiovascular Nursing Council, and Sigma Theta Tau honor society.
