The purpose of the Masters Teachers Taskforce is to ensure that Cultural Competence Education is integrated throughout all programs of study at the School of Nursing. The taskforce consists of a cadre of faculty, program directors, experienced clinical teachers and students who focus on  the school’s educational agenda. The co-chairs of  the committee consist of the Director of Diversity Affairs and a member of  the Standing faculty. 

The specific goals are to:

1.     Use the proposed Blueprint for Cultural Competence Integration as a framework to infuse information, monitor changes and evaluate the educational agenda for teaching on aspects of cultural competence.  

2.     Serve as a cultural and curriculum resource for faculty and clinical teachers on issues of diversity and cultural competence. 

3.     Communicate with faculty/clinical teachers about the work of the commit tee at orientations, curriculum committee meetings, Faculty Senate and Intranet interactions.
