By Car

From the Northeast - via the New Jersey Turnpike South
Use Exit 4. Follow signs for and cross the Ben Franklin Bridge. Pick up I-676 West (Vine Street Expressway) to I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway). Follow I-76 to exit 346A (South Street, old exit #40, left lane exit). Turn right onto South Street to enter campus. At 3rd traffic light, turn left onto 34th Street. Continue to follow 34th Street as it curves to the right and becomes Civic Center Blvd (you will pass HUP & Children's Hospitals on the right). Turn right onto Osler Circle. The Nursing Education Building is straight ahead.

From the North - via the Pennsylvania Turnpike
Follow signs for I-476. Follow I-476 South to I-76/Philadelphia Exit. Take I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway) approximately 12 miles to Exit 346A (South Street, old exit #40, left lane exit). Turn right onto South Street to enter campus. At 3rd traffic light, turn left onto 34th Street. Continue to follow 34th Street as it curves to the right and becomes Civic Center Blvd (you will pass HUP & Children's Hospitals on the right). Turn right onto Osler Circle. The Nursing Education Building is straight ahead.

From the North or South - via I-95
Use the I-676/Center City Philadelphia Exit. Follow I-676 West (Vine Street Expressway) to I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway). Follow I-76 East to Exit 346A (South Street, old exit #40, left lane exit). Turn right onto South Street to enter campus. At 3rd traffic light, turn left onto 34th Street. From the West - via the Pennsylvania Turnpike
Use Exit 24/326 (Valley Forge interchange). Take I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway) approximately 17 miles to Exit 346A (South Street, old exit #40, left lane exit). Turn right onto South Street to enter campus. At 3rd traffic light, turn left onto 34th Street. Continue to follow 34th Street as it curves to the right and becomes Civic Center Blvd (you will pass HUP & Children's Hospitals on the right). Turn right onto Osler Circle. The Nursing Education Building is straight ahead.


Public Transportation

From the Airport (20 minutes)

  • South Eastern PA Transit Authority (SEPTA) - The Airport Express Train leaves every half-hour; use the University
  • City Station Stop, adjacent to PENN's Campus ($5).
  •  Lady Liberty Shuttle Service - Go to "Ground Transportation" in Baggage Claim for instructions. ($8)
  •  Taxicab Service ($20)


From 30th Street Train Station
Amtrak and SEPTA regional trains stop at 30th Street Station. Amtrak frequent service is offered to Northeastern cities including Boston, New York, Baltimore, and Washington. Commuter trains arrive there from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Taxicab service from the station to the Nursing Education Building is the most convenient and costs approximately $5.

Parking*
Parking lots are available at the Penn Tower Hotel (34th and Civic Center Blvd), 34th and Chestnut Streets, and Franklin Field (33rd and South Streets). Limited metered parking is also available on streets throughout the campus. See Campus Map for locations and check out Campus Construction Projects to find current detours.
