Launched in 2005, the Healthy in Philadelphia program seeks to translate nursing knowledge into community-based health initiatives. These programs are designed meet the specific needs of adults and children in West Philadelphia, laying the groundwork for healthy lifestyles while creating resources for health transitions, illness, end-of-life care, and healthcare disparities.

Our faculty and students frequently attend community health fairs and workshops throughout West Philadelphia, providing services such as blood pressure screenings and disseminating information on nutrition and diet, breast cancer awareness, and sexual health.
