Education in Practice

As part of the tripartite mission of education, research and practice the School of Nursing has a primary focus of providing the student with theoretical and practical knowledge related to the care of individuals as part of a geographic, cultural, and religiously-diverse community.  Many of the course offerings relate directly to the surrounding West Philadelphia neighborhoods and provide a service learning component that allows the student to interact directly with community-residing individuals, groups and programs.
