Dr.
Cynthia Scalzi is an Associate Professor in
the School of Nursing and the Wharton School of
Business. She is also a Senior Fellow in the Leonard
Davis Institute of Health Economics and a Fellow
in the American Academy of Nursing. As the director
of the program in Nursing Administration she teaches
three of the core courses: Systems Analysis, Consultation,
and the Administrative Residency.

| Therese
Narzikul, a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner works
in the role of Project Manager for a clinical research
study; Enhancing Care Coordination. In 2004, she
completed Villanova University’s Executive
MBA program supported by The John A. Hartford Foundation.
Integrating gerontological experience with business
knowledge, Therese implemented systems methodology
to enhance operational performance and quality
reproduction in organizations providing older adult
care and services. She is a guest lecturer in N650-Health
Systems Analysis and currently serves on the Board
of Directors for the Wallingford-Chester Chapter
of the American Red Cross. Therese is committed
to improving the coordination, quality and cost-effectiveness
of older adult care and services, particularly
those for frail vulnerable older adults. Therese
led the Geriatric Assessment Team at the Medical
College of Pennsylvania. Her focus within geriatric
nursing has also included promoting the spirit
of inquiry among undergraduate nursing students
during their clinical course in gerontology. As
Visiting Faculty in the Department of Nursing Studies
at the University of Hong Kong, Therese participated
in providing consultation on undergraduate clinical
education. Education and experience provide Therese
with an understanding of the many organizational
and management challenges related to quality of
life for older adults. |
