FACULTY MENTORS

Dr. Cynthia Scalzi is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing and the Wharton School of Business. She is also a Senior Fellow in the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. As the director of the program in Nursing Administration she teaches three of the core courses: Systems Analysis, Consultation, and the Administrative Residency.

 
Dr. Linda Carrick is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She has over 20 years of nursing/healthcare administrative experience and has held positions such as Head Nurse, Clinical Director, V.P. of Nursing and Regional Executive Vice President for a major Health System. Dr. Carrick teaches The Business of Nursing/ Healthcare, Health Leadership, and provides oversight for administrative practicums and mentors MBA/ Administrative Hartford scholars.
BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
 
Bonnie Benetato, after completing her MSN at the Catholic University of America with a concentration in the Family Nurse Practitioner program, worked as a geriatric primary care provider and in geriatric ambulatory care administration at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Presently, she works in long-term care at the VA and she plans to use her MBA skills in geriatric program administration. Bonnie’s academic research agenda includes clinician-patient communication.
