Penn Leads the Way to AAN and GSA

As we are approaching the end of the 2003, Penn Nursing is winding down one of its most productive years. Many Penn Nursing faculty received exemplary honors, such as Neville Strumpf and Lois Evans (2003 Frances Donovan Nurse Scholars), Mary Naylor (Claire Fagin Award), and Sarah Kagan (MacArthurs Award). The LIFE Program celebrated its grand opening in its second location, a Webcast on Dementia Care was broadcasted in Philadelphia, and an online model on Restraint-Free Care in Nursing Homes has been developed.

But, Penn nurses didn't stop there.... they went on to lead the way to AAN and GSA. Penn faculty have demonstrated their leadership skills on AAN planning committees and are able to report an incredible number of Penn nursing faculty, students and affiliates who presented at this year at the GSA: Penn Nursing was represented at 20 sessions, with a total of 25 faculty, students, and affiliates making presentations at those sessions. What accomplishments! Congratulations to Penn Nursing.
