Biographical
Sketch
Dr.
Carrick is an
Practice
Assistant Professor at the University
of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She has over 20 years
of nursing/healthcare administrative experience and has
held positions such as Head Nurse, Clinical Director,
V.P. of Nursing and Regional Executive Vice President
for a major Health System. Dr. Carrick is a well known
speaker, author, and consultant in operational management,
small business ventures, resource utilization and strategic
planning. Dr. Carrick received her Ph.D. from the University
of Pennsylvania and is a Wharton J&J Nurse Executive
Fellow. She is currently the co-principle investigator
for a Leadership Development grant at Penn. Dr. Carrick
teaches The Business of Nursing/Healthcare, Health Leadership,
provides oversight for administrative practicums, and
mentors Hartford MBA/Administrative scholars.
