The Center for Autism Research (CAR) is an internationally renowned, multi-disciplinary center at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania that coordinates and supports research on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The Center's goals are to identify the neurobiological, environmental, and genetic causes of ASD, and to develop effective treatments.

The Center for Autism is the oldest specialized autism treatment center in the United States. Since 1955 the center has provided year-round, comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and training services to children, adults, and families, and has served as a national model for ASD treatment.

The Regional Autism Center at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) provides comprehensive, coordinated, family-centered care - from accurate diagnosis to the most advanced treatments - and serves as a regional repository of knowledge, support, and guidance. CHOP has more number one rankings than any other children's hospital in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2012-13 survey of Best Children's Hospitals.
