Penn Nursing Alumni Executive Board

The Penn Nursing Alumni Executive Board represents YOU in developing alumni events, projects and outreach.  All Penn Nursing alumni (including alumni of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania) are eligible to run for a 2 year term on the Executive Board.  Meeting at least four times during the academic year, the Executive Board includes leadership positions, young alumni and student representatives, and general board of directors and nominating committee members.

Nominations for open Board positions are requested each fall and elections are held each spring.  The results of each year’s elections are announced Alumni Weekend and appear in the June edition of eFindings. To express your interest in the Board or other leadership opportunities, or with questions, please contact nursalum@pobox.upenn.edu.  Your involvement is essential in creating a dedicated, diverse board representative of the greater alumni body.

Penn Nursing Alumni Committees
Committee participation is open to all alumni, on an annual basis.  These are non-elected positions, working with elected Executive Board members, to further alumni involvement and connection.

Alumni Awards Committee
Aims to recognize outstanding alumni through acknowledgement of their varied contributions to the profession and to the healthcare of citizens of our nation and around the world.

Alumni Events Committee
Plans and promotes a broad and appealing mix of events and activities in an effort to attract and connect as many alumni as possible to Penn Nursing, including Homecoming, Alumni Weekend and various small events.

Alumni-Student Connections Committee
Establishes relationships between alumni and students through, but not limited to, the activities of the Alumni Liaison and Mentoring programs.

Nominating Commitee
Identifies and nominates diverse, dynamic and enthusiastic alumni for election to the Penn Nursing Alumni Board. Members must be elected to this committee.
