Penn Nursing Alumni Awards

Each year, Penn Nursing recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of our alumni. Nominations are accepted each winter and are presented each May during Alumni Weekend.
The LILLIAN SHOLTIS BRUNNER AWARD for Innovative Practice in Nursing is given for impact on the nursing profession, health care delivery systems, communities, and clients.
The OUTSTANDING ALUMNI AWARD for Leadership in Nursing recognizes a leader who has or had an outstanding career and/or advanced the profession through practice, research, education, writing, or practice administration.
The EXPERT AWARD for Clinical Excellence recogizes alumni who demonstrate clinical excellence and embody the professional calling to nursing, are graduates of more than 20 years ago, and currently employed in clinical practice.
The Recent Alumni Award for Clinical Excellence honors alumni who demonstrate clinical excellence and embody the professional calling to nursing, are graduates within the last ten years, and currently employed in clinical practice.
The LEGACY AWARD is given to alumni who have contributed to preserving and interpreting the history of nursing at Penn.
The PENN NURSING ALUMNI STUDENT AWARD is given to undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, graduating this academic year, who contribute to the achievement of the Alumni Society goals by fostering loyalty to the school and university, maintaining the professional and social bond among their classmates and promoting professional development during their student experience at Penn. Recipients may be an individual or student group.
