Nursing Student Elected to National Student Nursing Organization
SNAP,
Student Nurses at Penn, recently sent
twelve nursing students to the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA)
Convention in Grapevine, Texas. G.J. Melendez-Torres, a freshman
enrolled in the joint School of Nursing/Wharton program and SNAP Secretary,
was elected chair of the NSNA's Nominations and Elections Committee. G.J.’s election marks the
first time a Penn Nursing student has ever served on the NSNA National
Board.
Penn Nursing Receives Largest Research Award in its History
Martha Curley, PhD, RN, FAAN,
Associate Professor of Nursing, received a five-year $10M award from
the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, co-funded by the National
Institute for Nursing Research, for a multi-site clinical trial focusing on
sedation management in pediatric patients with acute respiratory failure.
This is the largest single research award to a Penn Nursing faculty member.

Theta Tau chapter and take part in our first annual “Diversity Dinner”
