Professors Visit Penn Nursing
Visiting professors and scholars
from the U.S. and around the world foster an exchange of ideas with Penn
Nursing faculty and students. This semester, the School hosts Dr. Ada Sue
Hinshaw, Professor and Dean Emeritus, University of Michigan School of
Nursing ,
and Dr. Karlene Kerfoot, principal, Kerfoot and Associates, Inc., an
Indianapolis-based
consulting firm.
Dr. Fairman
Receives Research Award
Penn Nursing professor, Dr.
Julie A. Fairman, Director of the
Barbara Bates Center for the Study of the History of Nursing, received the
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Investigator Award in Health Policy Research.
The award will support a book documenting American nursing history since
1975.
