Join us for a
fantastic afternoon of celebratory events - dynamic panel,
campaign impact, special tribute to Claire Fagin, and kick-off
reception! All are welcome throughout the day's events.
Penn Nursing alumna
Shirley Chater, HUP'53, Nu'56, HON'97
will moderate a panel featuring Pennsylvania Director of Health
Care Reform Rosemarie Greco, nationally recognized
author/journalist Suzanne Gordon, and Penn Nursing faculty
member and world-renowned nursing shortage expert Dr. Linda
Aiken. Dean Afaf Meleis will close the program
with the launch of the Where Science Leads Campaign and the naming
of Claire M. Fagin Hall.

Professor Discusses Storytelling & Its Effect - December 6th
Katherine Young, PhD,
visiting lecturer in Anthropology, discusses how narration alters
the narrator's experience of time, in effect collapsing it; thus
offering the
chance to change somatic experience through intervention in a
lecture co-sponsored with Penn's Center for Folklore &
Ethnography.

Patient Safety Conference - March 29-30, 2007
This year's conference,
"Surveillance Through Nursing's Eyes" aims to share strategies
on patient care and work environments and offer a forum for acute
care clinicians to discuss innovative projects.
