Help
us capture the variety of talents and experience
that Penn Nurses offer to others.
Lisa Barbarotta,
Nu’99 – an oncology nurse, also teaches community Oncology review
courses for new and experienced RN’s. Penn Nursing prepared her to
think critically, to question practice and to facilitate change. Her
employers have seen a noticeable difference between her preparation
and that of peers from other schools.
Rosemary Ciotti,
GNu’81 – a clinical educator, author, researcher, and nurse
practitioner in private practice serving the uninsured and immigrant
population in Washington, DC. The nursing theory learned at Penn
Nursing combined with her clinical experience has allowed her to
effect change politically in advocating for those in most critical
need.
Doris M. Huegel, HUP’56 – sees her 6 ˝ years as a family nurse
practitioner as the only full-time care provider in Forest County, PA
as one of her career highlights. Her experience at the HUP School of
Nursing taught her to integrate knowledge with skills and built the
foundation of a very successful career.
