Ways
to Give
Bequests
For many donors, a gift made through their will is the best way to make a
substantial contribution to the School of Nursing. Donors can leave specific
dollar amounts or a percentage of their estate. Through a bequest, a donor can
make a gift without depleting current assets and eliminate or reduce federal
estate taxes.
The following language has been approved by the University’s counsel as an
effective bequest to the School of Nursing:
I hereby give, devise and bequeath to the Trustees of the University of
Pennsylvania, a nonprofit corporation organized and operating under the laws
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the sum of ___________ (or ____ % of
the rest, residue and remainder of my estate) to be used for the School of
Nursing.
If you have included the School of Nursing in your estate, please let us
know.
