Barbara Bates Center for  the
Study of  the History of  Nursing

Established in 1985, the Barbara Bates Center for the Study of the History of Nursing encourages and facilitates historical scholarship on health care history and nursing in the United States. The Center continues to create and maintain a resource for such research; to improve the quality and scope of historical scholarship on nursing; and to disseminate new knowledge on nursing history through education, conferences, publications, and inter-disciplinary collaboration.

Current projects include studies of international nursing and home-based nursing, and research on care of the critically ill.  The Center also collects, processes, and catalogues an outstanding collection of primary historical materials.

Your membership gift supports the Center's year-round activities: preservation and processing of records, public reference service, cataloging, and publication of "The Chronicle" - the Center's newsletter.

Yes, I'd like to make a gift online now.
I prefer to send my gift or pledge by mail.
