Unique Opportunities
In addition to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing, Penn is proud to offer programs and areas of study that make the educational experience here truly unique.
Undergraduates have the opportunity to submatriculate in the Masters of Science in Nursing program as early as their junior year. They also have the opportunity to submatriculate into the Law School, earning a BSN and Juris Doctorate in six years. Independent Study and Study Abroad programs are also available.
The joint-degree program between Penn Nursing and the Wharton School addresses the dynamic changes in the delivery and financing of healthcare services in the United States and the public's concern about the quality, cost, and management of healthcare. This program combines a BSN from the School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School with a concentration in Healthcare Management and Policy. Through this highly specialized program, students gain experience in patient care, as well as in business and managerial areas.
Penn Nursing students may also pursue dual degrees or minors with the College of Arts and Sciences, the Annenberg School for Communication, the Wharton School, or Penn Engineering.
