Post-Master's
Penn Nursing offers post-master’s certificates to MSN-prepared nurses seeking to further advance their careers and clinical practice. Applicants who have previously graduated from a Master’s program in Nursing are not required to submit GRE scores. Post-Master’s applicants seeking either a certificate or second master’s degree to one of our eighteen program must meet all other Master’s application requirements. After application submission, the applicant’s transcripts undergo Gap Analysis by appropriate graduate program directors to determine the courses required to complete a Post-Master’s certificate; the analysis is $300 and must be paid prior to the evaluation. The purpose of the gap analysis is to ensure that, upon graduation you will have the appropriate competencies for the degree or certificate sought. Individuals seeking to complete an MSN Minor as a certificate or the Postmasters Certificate in Sleep are exempt from the Gap Analysis. Tuition for post-master's students is based upon graduate tuition rates. Please visit the School of Nursing's financial aid website for more information.
