Application Requirements

 In addition to the completed application, applicants must submit the following items: 

  • $70 application fee
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) schools attended*
  • Official results from the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). To determine your elgibility for the GRE waiver, please visit the GRE Waiver page.
  • Three letters of recommendation from the following sources: academic, employer and professional. All letters of recommendation must be submitted through the online recommendation form accessible through the online application.
  • Response to essay questions
  • Copy of current and active RN license

*Official transcripts can take up to 4-6 weeks to arrive at the School of Nursing after the initial request. Applicants are strongly encouraged to upload unofficial transcripts in order to have their application processed in a timely fashion. Penn Nursing cannot release a decision until all official transcripts have been received.

Penn Nursing operates on rolling admissions for the Spring, Summer and Fall start terms. Applicants are encouraged to submit their completed applications at least two months prior to their intended start term. International applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the International Students page for additional requirements.
