Scholarships and Grants

Undergraduate

  • The Alex Hillman Family Foundation Scholarship offers students $50,653.00 (graduated payments over four years) for maintaining a 2.75 GPA and agreeing to a two-year work committment in a New York City Hospital.
  • The George H. and Estelle M. Sands Nursing Scholarship. This program offers students a total of $30,000 (graduate payments over the Junior and Senior years) in exchange for the maintenance of a 2.75 GPA and a two-year work commitment at the Medical Center of Princeton in Princeton, NJ.
  • The Melissa Sengbusch Inspirational Scholarship Fund awards $10,000.00 over the course of four years to recipients who maintain a 3.0 GPA.
  • The Scholars Educational Loan Forgiveness (SELF) Program Scholarship is awarded in the amount of $2,000.00 per year for all four years of study. Students in the program must maintain a 2.75 GPA during their studies and must agree to a one-year work committment in a hospital, home or healthcare agency in the US after graduation.
  • For current Sophomores: The George H. and Estelle M. Sands Nursing Scholarship offers a total of $20,000 during a the Junior and Senior years. These funds are not contingent on financial need but do require the maintenance of a 2.75 GPA and a two-year work committment at the Medical Center of Princeton in Princeton, NJ.

Accelerated

  • The School of Nursing has a special Accelerated Scholarship which is funded each year to assist students with additional tuition support during the summer academic session of their senior year.
  • Accelerated BSN students may apply for the George H. and Estelle M. Sands Nursing Scholarship. This program offers students a total of $20,000 in exchange for the maintenance of a 2.75 GPA and a two-year work commitment at the Medical Center of Princeton in Princeton, NJ.
  • The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation New Careers in Nursing program is offering $10,000 to 15 students for the 2010-2011 academic year in order to help alleviate the nursing shortage and increase diversity among nursing professionals.
  • For Accelerated BSN-MSN students interested in working with Geriatric populations, the PENN-GGNSC Scholarship Program offers $30,000 to help students fund their MSN degrees. Recipients of this award must maintain a 3.0 GPA and agree to work in a Golden Gate National Senior Care affiliate facility for a two-year period upon graduation.
 

 

* Applications for the Hillman, Sengbusch, Sands and SELF programs will be sent to accepted undergraduate students in mid-March. Decisions are made in mid-April.

*The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is offering $10,000 scholarships to 15 Accelerated Nursing students for the 2010-2011 academic year.
