Master's

  • All full-time Masters students are eligible to receive a School of Nursing grant, based on financial need. This grant is given to a student each semester in which they take a course load of 3 CUs or greater, and the grant is roughly equivalent to 18% of their need. Please Note: If your status changes to part-time, you will not be eligible for this grant.
  • Students in the Nursing School have the opportunity to apply and be considered for a variety of scholarship opportunities, with awards ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 for an academic year!
  • Graduate Hillman Scholarship
  • Advanced Education Nurse Traineeship Grant
  • Students interested in working with Geriatric populations may wish to apply for the PENN-GGNSC Scholarship Program. The program offers $30,000 to help students fund their MSN degrees. Recipients of this award must maintain a 3.0 GPA and agree to work in a Golden Gate National Senior Care affiliate facility for a two-year period upon graduation.

Doctoral

  • Doctoral students have the ability to take a class that helps them learn how to successfully prepare and submit grant applications. This is an excellent resource to help students in garnering outside support for their education – a student who receives grant money from an outside source will not need to depend on their assistantship to pay for their education, thus leaving them with more time to conduct research. It’s a win-win situation!

* Graduate students may submit their applications for the Graduate Hillman Scholarship and the Advanced Education Nurse Traineeship Grant at any time. However, decisions are made in the Fall of each academic year.
