Doctoral Financial Aid
The School of Nursing is committed to assisting the "full-time" doctoral students for the first four years of their studies. The assistance is usually in the form of a Teaching or Research Assistantship or a University Fellowship which pays the student’s "full-time" tuition charges. Along with the tuition support, students will also receive a 9-month stipend. Students who are "part-time" are not eligible for this support.
More about these Programs can be found here.
Questions about the full-time or part-time status for doctoral candidates should be directed to the financial aid office.
Tuition and Fees
For the 2009-2010 academic year, the fee schedule for full-time doctoral students will be as follows:
Full-time |
Tuition & Fees $27,418 |
Room & Board 14,900 |
*Books 1,550 |
*Personal 5,800 |
TOTAL $49,668 |
* Please keep in mind that the school does not bill the student for books and personal expenses. We do, however, build these figures into the Student Budget to better help students and their families plan for all costs associated with a Penn Nursing Education. Likewise, we give financial aid based on the entire student budget, not just on the cost of tuition and fees.
