The cost of education for the 2008-2009 academic year at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing is as follows:

Financial Aid Support
The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing is committed to support full-time Ph.D. students for a period of 4 years through research assistantships/fellowships and/or teaching assistantships/fellowships. Support for a Ph.D. student is for the academic year only and includes a stipend, tuition, technology, general fees, and individual medical insurance. Dental insurance is not covered.

Complete the FAFSA
All accepted applicants for the Doctoral Program in the School of Nursing are required to complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) each year. You can also complete the FAFSA on line by clicking here. The University of Pennsylvania school code is 003378.

Other Fees
There are other special fees, including computer connection fees, library fees, and service fees that are not included in the support.

Payment of Tuition and Fees
Payments due the University must be made in cash, check, bank draft or postal money order for the exact amount due, drawn to the order of the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania. Students will be charged $30 for any check returned by a bank for "insufficient funds" or any other reason other than a bank error. In addition, the University reserves the right to require a cashier’s check, or other similar instrument for any payment following return of a check by a bank. If there are extenuating circumstances that affect payment of your bill, contact a representative from the Student Financial Services, (215) 898-1988.

The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania reserve the right to amend the regulations concerning fees and method of payment at any time and make such changes applicable to students attending the University, as well as entering students.
