Q:  How will I know if my prerequisite courses will transfer?

A: The website will discuss the transfer credit process and the form that must be completed.  Once the form has been submitted to the School of Nursing, your transfer credit will be reviewed and a plan of study will be created based on the courses you have completed. The plan of study will include the entire BSN and MSN (of applicable) time line and courses you will be completing.  Please note the Plan of Study is subject to change

Q: Can I request an admissions deferment?

A: The University of Pennsylvania does not offer an admission deferment. If you are concerned with beginning the program in 2016, please contact Filomena Circelli via email at as soon as possible.

Transfer Credit

The process to determine an individualized plan of study for the accelerated program is dependent upon the transfer credit process.

Please be assured that we will continue to work with you on the transfer credit process, and ensure that a plan of study will be completed prior to the admission deposit deadline. Please note the Plan of Study is subject to change.

You will receive an email from the School of Nursing with a draft Plan of Study on stating which courses have been approved for transfer credit.  If it is unclear if a course can be approved, you may be asked to submit copies of course syllabi for faculty review.

Financial Aid

Q: When will I hear about financial aid?
A: If all of the necessary documents were submitted by the deadlines you should have access to your financial aid package two weeks after receipt of your admissions decision. If documents were received after the deadlines, your financial aid package may be delayed. The School of Nursing will keep you informed of any missing documents.
