Nursing career opportunities exist in countless healthcare settings, community services, public policy arenas, and management organizations. The educational experience here prepares you to pursue careers immediately following graduation. All Penn Nursing alumni enjoy a lasting relationship with the School and University, which includes ongoing career services at no charge, invitations to special events and continuing education opportunities, and subscriptions to alumni newsletters and magazines.
The Career Services Office offers career advising, help with resume preparation, job search strategies, and guidance on marketing your qualifications. The counselors for Penn Nursing students and alumni are Sharon Fleshman, Peggy Curchack and John Tuton. They plan career programs specifically for nursing students, and are available to answer questions and help with job searches. Students can also set up a permanent file of letters of recommendation that can continue to be accessed after graduation.
