Patty Pawlow MSN, CRNP, BC
Patty Pawlow is a part time clinical faculty member in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. In this role, she works closely with the students and their preceptors to enable a smooth transition to the clinical rotations where the students must apply the theoretical knowledge they have gained. During these clinicals the focus is on advanced physical assessment skills, diagnostic evaluations, patient care management, & evidenced based practice. Patty also shares responsibilities in coordinating the theoretical courses and she has many years experience teaching the Advanced Physical Assessment course.
Patty Received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Since completing her Masters Degree, she has worked as a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and as a Nurse Practitioner on the Lung Transplant Team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Patty has written and presented on such topics as Patient Education for Discharge after Coronary Bypass Surgery, Readmission after Cardiac Surgery, and the Medical and Surgical Management of the Patient with COPD.
