Team Care

Better patient outcomes through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Just as the human body must coordinate its many complex systems to stay healthy, so too must healthcare professionals communicate effectively amongst their ranks if we are to give patients the very best in care.

At Penn Nursing, we place a premium on interprofessional education and practice. Along with Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine, we’ve created a working model for what collaborative care can look like, in which nurses, physicians, and students go on rounds together and make decisions about patient care in real-time, using input from the whole group.
