Health Fairs

Faculty members, staff, and students from the University of Pennsylvania practice throughout West Philadelphia and other communities, providing quality nursing care to patients and residents in a variety of settings. Through their efforts in acute, long term care and community-based programs, they bring the best that nursing has to offer to the surrounding communities.

Often, faculty and students are asked to participate in community health fairs, offering blood pressure screenings and disseminating information on nutrition and diet, breast cancer awareness, and sexual health. Student Nurses at Penn also participate in the Healthy in Philadelphia week every spring.
